Purchased mid 2018. Less than 8 months later serious speed issues. Before I go any further, I would like to say that I have a degree in computers. That's not me, that's a WiFi modem/router. All the problems I've had with this device are related to WiFi. All wired computers get full speed paid for by the ISP. WiFi speed is slow no matter what settings are selected/enabled/disabled. I need to get 30 Mbps down / 8 Mbps. I'm currently getting no more than 5 up/2 down. Research shows that this is not an isolated problem. I do not recommend this modem/router. There are much better ones for the same $$$. Update: I bought a $29 TP Link Wi-Fi router that connected to this modem and the speed over WiFi is perfect. Unfortunately, the modem doesn't have an option to disable Wi-Fi entirely, but you can disable SSID broadcasting. You'll need to check the firmware update to see if this is a new option (Netgear says this modem can disable WiFi, but it doesn't).
