This product has improved my fuel economy, increased my power slightly and greatly improved my car's response to acceleration. big, wide tires and low lift (which means less mpg). After installing this product I am now pumping out 21 mpg highway (about 60 mph) for a 14 year old truck, some new generation trucks are barely 22 or 23 mpg from the factory. Oddly my city MPG has improved more than my highway, now I'm pushing 24-26 MPG around town and doing about 40 mph on a flat road. I clean the filter with K&N air filter cleaner and degreaser every time I change the oil to protect it. grips the edge of the heat shield, but if you have scissors or pliers for cutting plastic you shouldn't have a problem. a factory hose that you have to cut in half to reuse, and you use factory bolts for your car's air resonator, more specifically the air box. Do yourself a favor, buy a new tube (I got it for $12 from your local parts store) or DO NOT cut it exactly in half. Give the half you keep extra length to work with, and if it's tough and aged like mine, simmering it in the pot for a short time (15 seconds or until tender) will make the job easier. All of this said I will buy this brand of air intakes for all my cars. I've searched long and hard and personally I couldn't find better value for money.
