Review on ๐Ÿš— K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Boost Horsepower with High Performance: 2011-2019 Dodge/Chrysler 3.6L V6 (Challenger, Charger, 300) by Mark Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Better throttle response, aggressive engine sound when entering.

I have had K&N cold air intakes on several of my previous cars. My main reason for installing this kit is better, smoother throttle response with less lag. To me, this doesn't necessarily increase power, but it does help distribute power more evenly when you hit the throttle. The intake manifold also takes away some of the stock noise dampening, making the engine sound a little sportier when it stops. I suspect there's more noise inside the cabin than outside, but it's a nice harsh noise. I've heard people suggest it can save you MPG. My personal experience is that I tend to step on the gas pedal a little harder to enjoy a harsher sound. So if the fuel economy improves, I'll probably negate it by pressing the gas pedal more aggressively. Installation is easy and can be done by almost anyone with the proper tools. Be sure to keep the original air intake in case you need to replace it in exchange. Most dealers don't appreciate the improved air intake. I have installed this kit on 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees, a Chrysler 300 and a Ford pickup. If you plan to turn your car into a dragster, an air intake is not enough. However, if you want a more responsive throttle, a customized look, and a more aggressive sound, it's a reasonable price without major changes.
