UPDATE: I've changed my mind about these shoes after a few months. They were fine for the first few months, but after a few months they were no longer waterproof and let water through even when walking on wet grass, which is ridiculous. The shoes will not be damaged, so that is due to the material used. I would NOT recommend for those looking for waterproof shoes. waterproof boots and comfortable enough for long walks with the dog. So far I've worn them for a few weeks and tested them in the rain and on very wet ground/grass and my feet have stayed completely dry. They also don't tire your feet and are even comfortable enough to wear as casual shoes. The quality seems good, they are really warm and offer good toe protection. In fact, they were a bit big. I usually wear a size 10.5 and chose a size 11 because another review mentioned that they are smaller than most size 10.5 shoes. I found the opposite true, Columbia may have resized but this 10.5 is actually slightly larger than what I'm used to. If you wear a 10.5 I would suggest going for a size 10 unless you plan on wearing them with thick socks. In general, the purchase is satisfied. I can't guarantee how long they will last, but so far they seem absolutely worth the money.
