As avid home cooks we needed new cookware to replace the high quality Caphalon set that we have been very happy with for years. We were aware of the potential health and safety concerns associated with Teflon and knew that despite ongoing technological improvements, we would not repurchase any Teflon-coated cookware. After carefully examining all currently available products, we have chosen the Cooks standard. We have relied on the information provided by the manufacturer and numerous enthusiastic reviews. By following the care instructions closely, we have found that food sticks terribly to the surface of the dishes, is difficult to remove and significantly more difficult to maintain. than stated. We've tried cooking many types of food at much lower temperatures, using the recommended oils exactly as recommended by the manufacturer, with the same results. Dishes have a distinct problem with food sticking and are difficult to remove completely. It was an expensive lesson because by the time we realized we were doing everything right it was too late to return the kit. Now we're stuck with paraphernalia we won't use. I would definitely be grateful for the option to return this set for credit. This is really a disappointment.
