I bought this to replace a failed drive in my Tivo (Roamio Plus). I've always had good durability with Seagate drives and maybe this one will last a long time. However, I could hear the drive's head spinning even while watching TV, and I could even hear the comparatively loud spinning noise of its drive when the TV was off. Received a replacement from Revain as I thought the drive was defective. How can a ride be so disgusting? Well, the replacement was just as bad. I bought a WD Purple instead and it's as quiet as the old WD DVR drive in Tivo that lasted six years. I still like Seagate for desktops, but I forgot to buy drives in this class from them for my Tivo.
