Usually buying things based on reviews has worked very well for me. But that didn't happen. Got the device. Followed the instructions of the man who left instructions in his review. WiFi is connected but the speed was very inconsistent. The speed rose and fell without stopping. Tried different ports, different computers, same thing. Tried moving higher and even closer to the router, same thing. So either the thing is broken or it just doesn't work for me. I have attached a 3GB file transfer image. Even with my crappy built-in Wi-Fi, I at least get consistent speeds. Chances are I'll end up just hooking up my internet. UPDATE: Support contacted me about the adapter. Apparently it was wrong. I was sent a replacement unit for this model: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019SRBT7S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it works much better. Changed to 4 stars as installation is not as easy as it should be.
