I love TUYA devices even if they are renamed. It's my curse to download a new app on my phone to test the product. I keep signing up for accounts for these one-off apps that barely support a small line of products. Smart Life, on the other hand, supports pretty much everything. Assuming the OEM doesn't mess around too much. With these Smart Door Sensors from Mobi, the Tuya coding is intact. These door sensors pair easily with Smart Life and are great for triggering activities. This particular door sensor is a little better than most because it comes with a tamper sensor. A small latch sticks out on the back in case someone takes it from the door. The app has settings that allow you to manage open, close, tamper and battery power notifications. It also has a time log history. All you could ask for is a door sensor. I use my sensor on the front door. When something moves outside my front door, my doorbell camera triggers an event that turns on the light in the entryway. When I open the door I have an event that turns off the light after a minute. The light is there to tell me there is a package behind the door and will reset when I open the door. It also works to light up the entryway when I get home and turn off the lights because I don't stay on my porch very long. I've had AAA batteries in this sensor for about 2 weeks and the battery still reads 100%. I don't expect it to drop much in 6 months.
