Well I love addi needles like a continental knitter, because with metal needles with good opacity I can manage 400 stitches in 20 minutes. They have an excellent surface for super-fast knitting BUT the snap-to-join design is largely problematic. To connect the cable to the hollow end of the needle, you need to push it in and twist it until it clicks into place. You might think that this provides some security, to prevent the needles from detaching from the cables, however, if you have a lot of loops and you need to slide the loops up on the needle so you can feed them faster, you have to push them up on the needle and the constant rolling of the stockinette stitch will cause you to unintentionally pull the cord from one loosen the needle. Three times I've spent over 30 minutes trying to salvage broken stitches, to the point that if it happens again I'll have to discard them and revert to normal, non-replaceable circular stitches. And it's a shame because they're good. Needles otherwise and the tote bag is pretty cute! accidentally detaching the cord from the needle.
