Review on DURATECH 10 Inch Opening Adjustable Ergonomic by Craig Sethuraman

Tapered jaws + high capacity = great wrench

Love this wrench. An extra wide container was needed to loosen a badly corroded, large diameter nut that was holding an old kitchen faucet hostage. An adjustable wrench would be a suitable tool, but I'm not used to collecting specialized plumbing tools. This wrench (combined with some MacGyver ingenuity and a hammer) made the job possible. The versatility of this wrench came in handy in less than a week when I needed to replace a leaking shower head. The tapered jaws of this wrench allowed me to get to a nut that was recessed too far behind a tiled wall due to the less than outstanding original pipe installation in a closed wall. I managed to chip off just enough tile so that the tips of the wrench's jaws penetrated the wall and gradually retracted the nut (see photo). Without that wrench, I'd probably have to break through a wall to get to it. Thanks wrench! One final note, I was a little worried about the plastic handle in the product photos, but this wrench is solid. The steel rod goes completely through the plastic handle.
