I have a very cheap heater that is always on and I was concerned that it would overheat my small (1.5 gallon) hospital tank. That works great! You simply plug the heater into an outlet on the Inkbird and you're good to go. It turns the heating on and off for you. So if you have an unreliable heater that you are concerned about overheating your tank, GET THIS PRODUCT. It gives you so much peace of mind. It keeps the temperature within half a degree (if you use the Celsius setting) and sounds an alarm if the temperature gets too high or too low for any reason. Setup was a bit confusing but I found a youtube video that helped me set everything up. I highly recommend this product!
