A few kilometers from where I live there have been several car thefts; Teenagers enter houses through open garage doors (while people are at home!) and take away keys that are usually left on the door. I was in the process of replacing my key holder anyway, so I opted for a box with a lock as a deterrent. If someone has the tools they can probably open the box in 10 minutes or so, but it's meant to contain valuables, not store them. So I put 3M self-adhesive hooks in the lock case. Very happy with the result. We have five cars plus keys to the shed and garage and this box contains them all - see photo.
