Review on Shimano BR CT91 Cantilever Brake Shoe by Rick Alexander

I'm restoring a nearly new early 90's mountain bike with cantilever brakes, but these brake pads are so hard and slick that I'm wondering if they actually predate the bike . The performance is significantly WORSE than the well worn shoes they have been replacing for almost 30 years. I was hoping that when worn they would show better rubber. nope They've only gotten worse and stopping power is almost non-existent. Huge waste of time and energy; Consoles are PITAs that can be customized in better days and now I'm waiting for another brand to start over. Very annoying.
