This rating refers to version 2.0. I don't recommend it for car use. Turn off/on the device until the voltage reading exceeds the set threshold within 5 seconds. That's a lie! That may apply to other models, but not to this one! This was a big deal for me and I am very disappointed that the switch is instantaneous so any slight voltage fluctuation (e.g. a power outage) will cause the device to shut down. anything that makes this LVD useless to me. You cannot set the same shutdown and restart voltage. For example, setting both to 12.1V simply cuts power. With a car battery, any of the available voltages below 12.1V can damage the battery. So the only setting you can use with a car battery is 12.1 off. and 12.8 incl. This can be good or bad depending on the application. Other than that, this LVD works fine. Setup is easy and all required documentation is printed directly onto the board. Just know what you're getting before you order. I personally think 5 seconds is false advertising.
