I have a 10Gb SFP+ NIC in my 2 dual Xeon servers and 1 in my main PC and I have configured them with P2P (no switch required) and these cables work fine with my somewhat old Mellanox Connect X2 My The main The PC has Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2016 (they also run normal Windows) and my servers are running UnRaid and FreeNas. These babies work as fast as greased zippers. And once you move to a 10Gb network, you can never go back. It's like Ure PC 3.5" HDD to Samsung SSD and these cables help to do it
