Review on OTC 5613 Vacuum Pressure Gauge by Chad Sorensen

Good Vacuum Gauge/Bad Fuel Gauge

If you need a vacuum gauge, this will do. If you need a fuel pressure sensor, this is not what you need. The reason is that the fuel gauge stops at 15 psi. Virtually any fuel pump will deliver 40 to 65 psi, if not a little more, for racing or high performance applications. So if you have a weak fuel pump that's supposed to put out 40psi when it's actually pushing 20psi the highest gauge will show 15psi so that's good. As for the vacuum side of this thing. It works with fuel adapters, I mean about two. So before you start working on your car, go to an auto parts store and get some adapters, boosters and gears so you don't have trouble installing when you start. To be honest knowing this now I would probably just take the vacuum gauge separately and use my own fitting. I'll probably spend as much if not less than I spent on this set of sensors and I'll have a lot more options with my own Build 1.

Pros
  • Kit comes with adapters to fit most applications; Durable, molded hard case with removable lid protects contents when not in use.
