Review on πŸ”Œβœ… Klein Tools RT310 Receptacle Tester: AFCI and GFCI Outlet Tester for North American AC Electrical Receptacles by Michael Custodio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Klein's standard outlet testers are more accurate

To be honest I was really hoping for a poor man's network analyzer (which costs β‰ˆ$300) when I bought it. It's definitely not what it is. Like the standard socket tester, it always shows only one type of error. This way, if the outlet isn't grounded, it doesn't indicate reverse polarity or other problems either. I've also found that it falsely detects ground more often than standard small-scale outlet testers (RT110 and RT210). I still only use it because the included cable saves me the hassle of crawling in hard-to-reach places. A small extension to a regular outlet tester will do the same.
