Review on GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS ALC1220 VB Motherboard by Matthew Evans

The board itself is very nice. Looks fantastic in my case but I think it has a defect. My system strangely freezes every few days. I replaced pretty much everything to prove it was the board. The only thing I can't change is the processor and I've tested it extensively. I contacted gigabyte support. I listed everything I did. They didn't write me back until 2 or more weeks later. They told me to do everything I told them, which I already did, which tells me they didn't read my previous comments on them properly. For example, when I went into detail on how to try three different graphics cards from two brands, they asked me to try a different graphics card. To be honest, at this point I'd rather hit the reset button on my system when it freezes (it never freezes when I'm using it, only idle thankfully) and then organize that kind of support. The two week return period is unacceptable and every time I hit the reset button I am reminded to stop buying Gigabyte products. I've had several gigabyte devices in the past and they all worked fine except for one thing. many years ago. I find these to be generally good quality products but the support was a real let down. There are enough brands to choose from.
