Review on Topeak Aero Wedge Pack F25 Review: A 🚲 Medium, Black Bag with Fixer F25 - Perfect Bike Accessory! by Dennis Reed

Unassuming bean bag with many inconveniences

This review is for the medium sized Aero Wedge with QR. I have an old Topeak Fuel Tank Top Tube that I love. Durable waterproof zippers, contrasting yellow inner lining so nothing gets lost. But I hate that aero wedge. He looks thin. Nothing about it screams quality or thoughtful design. The sides and bottom are not rigid. That means rocking it from side to side as you ride. While Quickmount is easy to use and a great idea on paper, it makes things worse. Installed in the middle of the bag, it basically adds a pivot point for rocking. The seat post strap is uncomfortable. So much strap left and very little contact with the Velcro on the bag body. And now the worst: the main compartment. The bag is equipped with a zipper to enlarge the main compartment. But unless you're going to use it in an expanded form all the time (which probably means you should buy a bigger bag), you're referring to all the expanding fabric that's just folded around the entire inside of the bag. Complete problem loading or unloading things. Basically, it acts as an annoying bottleneck, snagging on things and preventing them from snuggling up against the sides, top and bottom of the bag. With the exception of a mesh pocket on the inside of the lid, there are no other pockets, pockets or dividers. from inside. Every time you add something or take something out of the bag, everything else moves and you're back to dealing with a rolled up fabric expander. Just awful. The best summary of this bag is this: I have a Lizard Skins Super Cache bag for comparison. This bag is smaller, fits MORE, is better designed, stiffer, wobbles less and weighs less. It feels like Topeak just called.
