Good bag but could be considered for short riders or 29ers

Although smaller than expected, you can squeeze quite a bit in, especially when opening the extension. It is well made and the fabric feels very durable. I think for most with 26" or 27.5" wheels this bag would be a good choice, especially at this price point. However, if you are a small rider or on a 29" bike or planning to use it on a full suspension bike, it was too close to the rear tire (29" mid-frame hardtail) for me. The mounting bracket also takes up about 1/2 inch of your saddle's…

Medium Aero Wedge Bag

Very good bag. Been on my bike for a few months with no problems. There are two elastic fastening loops on the underside and a mesh pocket on the inside of the lid. When the bag is opened I have a set of patches, a spare inner tube, a chain tool, a gauge, tire levers, zip ties, a spoke wrench, an adjustable wrench and various allen keys. It's pretty complete. For example, there is no space for my cell phone. Cons: I complain that the quick-release clamp is pretty bulky and takes up most seat…

The attachment system is very good

Includes a plastic clip that attaches to the seat stays. It worked great. This system keeps the pack higher and more stable than the straps that go all the way to the seat. So there's less chance of your rear tire chafing if you lower your seat and hit a good bump. The only thing I didn't like was that the strap on the back for the bike light was lowered to near the bottom of the pack. So if the backpack tightens the rear wheel, it will most likely knock out the taillight. I cut the seam and…

Well made bag...and a little tip

This is my third under seat pack in years and probably the best yet. Whatever bike luggage you buy, make sure it has two points of contact with your bike. My previous beanbag broke after years of use. The snap closure failed, but luckily the bag also had a velcro strap that connected to the seatpost. It turned out that the bag dangled with Velcro and did not fall off the bike and was not lost. In my experience, bags with a zipper under the seat (like this one) are much more comfortable and last

  • An absolute legend

Lots of space! - Cycling

Topeak Aero Wedge Pack Medium Saddlebag offers ample storage for a spare inner tube, CO2 pump, tool kit and tire levers. There is a zipper that you can "unzip" to expand the inner compartment to add a little more room. I used to have a Bontrager saddlebag that was a bit smaller. Over time, the Bontrager bag became more and more difficult to reattach and began to sag when using the taillight. I also have a medium sized Topeak Aero Wedge Pack saddlebag on a hybrid bike. The old version uses…

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • I don't like it, everything is fine

Beautiful saddlebag. The materials feel solid, from the fabric to the stitching, the zippers, and the fastening system. Looks beautiful. The lid/door/hole you name it has a reflective strip sewn on. There is also a loop that can be used to attach a taillight, which I did. On the inside of the lid there is a small mesh pocket with an elastic band. It's big enough for the small purse I carry in it. what I could fit in. (when the zip is open) 1.) Replacement tube. 2.) My wallet. 3.) A small…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options.

Unassuming bean bag with many inconveniences

This review is for the medium sized Aero Wedge with QR. I have an old Topeak Fuel Tank Top Tube that I love. Durable waterproof zippers, contrasting yellow inner lining so nothing gets lost. But I hate that aero wedge. He looks thin. Nothing about it screams quality or thoughtful design. The sides and bottom are not rigid. That means rocking it from side to side as you ride. While Quickmount is easy to use and a great idea on paper, it makes things worse. Installed in the middle of the bag, it…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
