Bright Display with Dimming Capability

I'm always hesitant to buy digital clocks sight-unseen. So many are tricky to set, and others have no clear instructions how to set them. This one *is* tricky, but the instructions are fairly clear, if a little busy, in terms of how they are typed up. The setting buttons are clearly labeled, and large, so it's just a question of interpreting the directions and setting the clock.Be careful not to turn on the nightlight feature when setting the clock! It's blinding. The feature is touch activated, on the top of the clock. The timeface is dimmable, and the noise has a volume knob as well, making this clock pretty adjustable for use in a kid's room, or for light sleepers easily disturbed by noise and light. The blue light is a lot less scary for kids, too, even though red is better seen and less disrupting to the sleepy brain.

Pros
  • Alarm Clocks
Cons
  • Digital alarms may not be as effective for heavy sleepers who need a louder, more obtrusive alarm
