Review on πŸšͺ LiftMaster 371LM Garage Door Opener Remote: Ultimate Convenience for Easy Access by Kevin Graham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

installation was easy! My only complaint is the access panel.

I have an Allister garage door opener. When my 30 year old multicode remote stopped working I replaced the battery but that didn't change anything. I couldn't tell which was dead - the remote control or the multi-code receiver - and I figured if I replaced one, I'd probably have to replace the other soon. I found the Liftmaster to be reasonably priced and relatively inexpensive, so I ordered a Liftmaster 371LM remote and LiftMaster 365LM plug-in receiver from Revain. Both arrived on the same day (albeit oddly in different ways) and about an hour later my garage door opener was working again. I was able to hook up the receiver to the same ceiling outlet as the opener and the hardest part of the installation was stripping the ends of the wires so they could be connected to the terminals on the receiver and opener, ie installation was easy! My only complaint is that the access panel on the receiver is a little fiddly to toggle on and off. But since there are no pins to set to sync the receiver and remote, I hope the need to climb into the receiver will be extremely rare. Now the question arises as to how long these devices last - of course I can't answer that quickly. (If they last 30 years I would give them 5 stars.)
