Review on Cobalt Aquatics 26505 Internal Filter by Heather Phillips

This filter is perfect for my needs. I needed a filter for my half-filled cubic tank that could be easily moved but required minimal immersion. That's all. Right now it's in my half-filled betta cube, in the back corner where there's only 3 inches of water. It does exactly as advertised. The filter head can be rotated to direct the waterfall in any direction. I also tried it 90% submerged in my full tank. This created a medium current that seemed to please the fish. As far as I know, this is by far the most innovative filter I've found and opens the door to so many unique configurations that a rear or sponge filter could have. hard to replicate just as easy. And yes, you can fill the bottle with your own filter media. I ended up cutting the supplied sponge into thirds and filling it with matrix carrier. So far no problems.
