Defective item best in aquarium pumps and filters

I plugged the filter into a working outlet after placing it in my fish tank and the filter would not even turn on. A clip for attaching the filter to the aquarium was also missing. Extremely disappointed as I paid a hefty sum for this hard to find item and my fish needed it badly. I gave one star because I had to choose at least one star.

Great little filter. Quiet and powerful!

I am using this filter (Clear Vue 20) in a 7.5 gallon freshwater aquarium with fish and live plants. I cut a small piece of the bio-sponge that comes with the filter to use the chemically clean green nano pack. I've been using it for a few months and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's quiet and somewhat powerful and seems to get the job done well. It's very easy to clean. It's compact too! That's a great little filter!

The most versatile filter you will find

This filter is perfect for my needs. I needed a filter for my half-filled cubic tank that could be easily moved but required minimal immersion. That's all. Right now it's in my half-filled betta cube, in the back corner where there's only 3 inches of water. It does exactly as advertised. The filter head can be rotated to direct the waterfall in any direction. I also tried it 90% submerged in my full tank. This created a medium current that seemed to please the fish. As far as I know, this is by

Great for Betta fish!

I have half a dozen betta tanks and have tried many filters over the years. Many filters require special modifications to calm stagnant water-loving Bettas, but the Cobalt ClearVue is the easiest to modify, quietest, and most durable (unfortunately, the same can't be said of their heaters, but that's another story). Currently this ClearVue Mini 20 filter is used in various small 5-10 gallon aquariums and even some 8 gallon bowls (the filter gets wedged between the rocks and the bowl wall as the

Intelligent low-power filter - only 4.2 amps required!

My rating is four stars. If a one-star rating is important to you, you should read my comment at the end. 1. I bought this to start my aquarium, 55 gallons. The goal was to add 5 gallons of water and allow the live plants to root in the substrate (gravel covered red fluorite) for a few weeks. because I didn't want my Seachem 75 or Fluval 405 to work. As this current whips plants everywhere. So I used the ClearVue 20 in about 15 gallons of water just to circulate the water and get a small amount
