Two EC/TDS/Temp units sent for the first time. One turned on, one didn't. The second star is that they sent the second set straight away and the return was easy. The second time the pH meter worked but the EC didn't so I changed it to the one that worked on the first set. To calibrate the pH meter, 6.8 and 4.0 were requested. They ship a packet of each powder for use with distilled water, but a 6.8 solution is hard to find around town if you want to recalibrate the pH, 7.0 is the standard. The ph meter vibrates like crazy. It can be a whole point and I run it under the tap for 30 seconds to a minute and it evens out again and it also needs to be turned off and on sometimes but I clean it thoroughly after each use so it is strange. I've never seen anyone do this before and I really prefer small pens like these over big devices which is why I've used them before. Ideal if you want to test the water in your new house or apartment on your own or maybe once a year. It's cheap, so you basically get what you pay for.
