Very cool! about heating, cooling and air quality

It's a neat little device. The packaging was surprisingly heavy, but since most of it is very smooth concrete, it makes sense. to use bioethanol but I picked up a bottle of Everclear from a nearby shop to use until I can get fuel that costs less. It works well but is slightly more expensive than something that isn't taxed. I haven't measured how long the pour takes, but it seems like about an hour or so. The effect is very pleasant when lit. It takes a few minutes for the fuel to heat up for the flame to reach its full height and then it looks like a mini campfire. It is very nice when there is a fire burning on the coffee table while watching a movie. I don't know if we'll ever cook anything on it, but it seems possible to roast marshmallows, and there are 50 sticks in a set for that. The concrete base is nice and heavy, so it's very difficult to accidentally tip over. Concrete feels very smooth. The fuel is put into a metal can that contains some kind of fiber that's meant to act as a wick or something. This box in turn is inserted into another slightly larger metal box that isolates the inner box from the concrete base. I've done several fills in a row and the base never warmed up more than a little. It's a much nicer effect than a candle and I really like it. There's something very calming about sitting by the fire. Having a nice, compact, smokeless and odorless fire is really cool.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • I won't say anything
