I have 2 of these packs (4 total) for use in my (now) home office, living room and upstairs (main cable modem jack ) Bought . I haven't connected the 4th block yet as I'm wondering where to use it. Office: I have a gaming PC (older) that was connected via WiFi due to the distance to the modem/router upstairs. When using Wi-Fi, my speeds ranged from 70Mbps to 130Mbps with 18ms ping. With the powerline kit, my speeds range from 160Mbps to 195Mbps with 12ms ping, so there was a nice improvement over the old gaming PC. are between 130Mbps - 220Mbps with 14ms ping. With the Powerline kit, the results looked different - the speed was stable in the range of 190 Mbit/s, but the ping jumped to 60 ms. By the way, my phone is in the office right next to my laptop with an average of 330 Mbit/s and more. Moral of the story so far, buy new equipment or upgrade to better/newer components. Living Room: I had an Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, Fire TV 4K and TV on our WiFi network. I had no real problems with Fire TV 4K, TV and online gaming on Xbox One or PS4, but Stadia was bad. This has to do with playing Stadia in 4K and up to 60fps - I even dialed Stadia down to 1080p but there was still game lag and video stuttering. Thanks to the powerline adapter and TP-Link 8-port network switch, speeds on Xbox One and PS4 have more than doubled, from 14-27 Mbit/s to a more stable 60+ Mbit/s. Warning: I'm not exactly sure how accurate the Xbox or PS4 network connection tests are. As for Stadia, let's just say I'm going back to 4K and I'm not experiencing the terrible lag and stuttering I used to have. Also, I'm not using the power adapter that came with Stadia, which has an Ethernet port but is limited to a 10/100Mbps connection. I'm using a Cable Matters Micro USB to Ethernet adapter up to 480Mbps. I'm happy with these results and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade/upgrade their digital connection.
