I originally gave this 5 stars by using the black gate at my entrance to keep my dog away from the landing and stairs beyond. It worked so well, was so easy to install, I went out and bought a white one to use through my bedroom door. Okay, quality control is an issue. It was horrible to try and install. There were 2 bags of the same parts (to attach to the wall) but no wall plugs (I was lucky I used them). It's also not 100% straight and slightly bent out of the box, making it even more difficult to get hooked. After some swearing and complaining we put it back in place and installed it and it works great. On both I noticed a bit of sag at the top, even after making sure it was tight and locked in place and fully unwound when not in use. It's not enough to worry, just keep in mind that I have a feeling that if you have pets or children who want to "lean" on it, it will slowly bend forward. It is very easy to clip/attach. and works well in everything. Both my apps are in there, so I can't comment on how it will handle the weather and time outside.
