Great converter but big and heavy

I waited to post this review until I fully tested this converter. After all, if you're anything like me, you don't want to risk electrical issues (especially if you're trying to make great espresso with your European espresso maker). I tested it with: Solis. Scala Burr Grinder - 220-230V / 180W / Euro PlugDelonghi EC680M Ultra Compact 15 Bar espresso machine - 220-230V / 1450W / Euro Plug needs even more buffer to operate fans, pumps, etc. I didn't know if this theory was true for an espresso machine, but since the pressure is 15 bar I wanted to be sure. After several uses I can say that I feel safe with this converter. It is durable, does not heat up and does not emit any odor. There are no problems with powering my devices. I simply plug the converter into the wall, plug the coffee maker into the converter, turn on the converter's power switch, and then turn on my espresso maker. A beautiful appliance that you'll want to display on your kitchen counter between your shiny chrome appliances and stainless steel appliances. With that in mind, I keep the converter in my drawer (it takes up half the space) and then pull it out when I'm in the mood to sip espresso and grind beans. As a converter it is first class. I would buy it again in a similar situation. However, in an ideal world, I would trade my instruments for exact US versions, not lose money exchanging them, and never carry a transducer again. 1st world problems, right?

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
