This worked great on my 1999 F150. (No PATS or PATS disabled) It is programmed with the door closed, then with the door open, insert key (as soon as possible), turn key on and off 8 times, stop on 8th time with key on. Door locks going through/in programming mode. 9 seconds to press the door lock on remote #1. The locks are unlocked. 9 seconds for the second remote control. do up to 5 times. then turn the key off. The doors will lock to let you know you have exited programming mode. Try all remote controls. My new key and 2 old remote controls worked perfectly. THEN only make a new key after programming. Otherwise you can't return it if the programming fails. My frequency was 315 MHz. for 1999.
