I bought this item because my radiator (109k) started leaking where the plastic upper tank connects to the aluminum core. In general, the product looks good, was well packaged, and arrived safely in Alaska. Not installed yet but will be in 2 weeks. The first thing I checked was the threaded faucets and port holes, the top and bottom were fine, but the passenger side top port (for the upper coolant reservoir hose) was heavily welded and that hole was partially blocked. If I needed this port I would return this item and ask for a new one but luckily I only have an oil cooled turbo and this port would just clog. Next I replaced the magnetic drain plug and o-ring. I read many NASIOC leak stories and fixed this problem before installing it. I plugged it with a steel plug with a steel washer fitted with a rubber banjo as a seal. No Teflon tape is required for this. In my opinion, the aluminum thread should be cut with a steel or brass spiral/thread. Using aluminum for the threads is a terrible idea and will only die if the fork is used constantly. If I have problems with this port in the future, I just brew it up and use the bottom hose as a drain. .
