Does the trick for us

Adds a lot of performance to the current Apple Macbook, which only offers USB-C ports. While Apple is right - USB-C is likely to become the port of choice soon - many of us (yes, like me!) are still using standard USB devices that are too young to throw away. It takes care of that.
