This is an installation and overview of the Road Top Device Decoder that adds Carplay, Android Auto or Mirror Link and other features. I've been waiting for this article for a long time. This is by far the best Carplay integration you can install yourself. This product is for your 2015-2019 Mercedes Benz C,GLC,CLA,GLA with NTG 5.0+ interface which doesn't support Carplay or Android Auto from factory. Depending on your factory options you will either have a smaller screen infotainment system or an enhanced (command) system with factory navigation and a larger screen that does not support Carplay. So what are the advantages of this device. Apart from the obvious addition of Carplay, Android Auto or Mirrorlink wirelessly or via a wired USB port. It works with your normal factory controls, including steering. You also keep the factory interface. All you have to do is press the star key to switch from original to new and vice versa. I have a 2019 Mercedes Benz GLC63 with Team (HK Radio) without factory carplay. So all my installation information is based on my machine. But it should be very similar to all the different Mercedes models mentioned above. Along with the manual that comes with the product and by the seller.
