I upgraded my graphics card to a Radeon 580 and bought this cable to use FreeSync on my 4K monitor. I started getting blue screen of death with graphics card error messages. Other times, my monitor would suddenly show NO INPUT and turn off, forcing me to do a hard reset. I took my computer to Best Buy to have it checked out. It took two weeks to fiddle with the settings and even swap out the graphics card, but the BSoD continued. Eventually I bought a more expensive DP cable. Since then I haven't had a single problem. This cable is cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for.
