The parts look exactly like the original parts on our Jetta except the rubber has not flattened/compacted after over 120,000 miles. Installation was easy and my only complaint was not with the product itself but with the instructions that came with it. I realize this is an illustration - but - if you're not 100% familiar with a particular vehicle, it would be nice to have a clear breakdown. The illustration was drawn in place of the actual images, and while I could see the pieces to make sure I had the correct order and direction, I searched the internet to make sure everything fitted together correctly. Other than that, I'm generally happy with it, and it's made a hell of a difference in how the front of the car feels. The main reason I replaced this was because I had replaced the struts about 4 months ago and everything was fine and then one day when you were spinning the wheel there was this weird noise that I kind of figured out - it was a feather. "Boeing!" From there I had someone turn the steering wheel while I watched what happened when the rubber was so worn/compressed that the top spring wasn't turning properly on the bearing and was snagging causing the spring his perch jumped. I have to say the overall construction is pretty cheap as I'm pretty used to other cars that have solid plate bearings bolted to the chassis rather than a large piece of rubber on top that sits in a pocket with a holder on top. . The job was pretty easy since I have the tools to get it done quickly. The only tool I don't have that I borrow for free from my local auto parts store was a spring compressor.
