These doors are not easy to manufacture. I've tried several, this one worked the best. My cat comes and goes as she pleases so as not to wake me up at night. This is a huge bonus. Pieces of metal get caught in the magnet around her neck, which the cat doesn't seem to mind. She comes home with "jewelry" - nails and the like. Sometimes pieces of metal get stuck to the magnet in the door causing it not to work properly and my cat not getting out. From time to time you should clean the door. The door broke recently because the dreaded neighbor's cat kept banging its head against the door and breaking the plastic. I fixed it temporarily. So I bought a new magnetic door. So this door is good but not amazing.
