Review on 🚴 MicroNEW Shifters 3X7 Speed SB-R473 Trip Shift Road Bike Bicycle Derailleur with Brake Levers by Gregory Shorunov

Great and durable switches for the price!

I used these briefers to convert an old Cannondale hybrid into a drop bar gravel eater. Installation was easy and they shift well. I added built-in barrel adjusters since the derailleur body is unthreaded. This made setting up the switches much easier. They feel solid and engage securely in every gear. Lever travel is a bit long compared to Shimano. I personally prefer the upshift and downshift levers to be on the same side of the control stick, so that's exactly what I was looking for. The right shift lever only shifts into 2 gears with a lever pull. As mentioned elsewhere, it can be difficult to tighten them enough to keep them from rotating during use. If I turn the steering wheel back, I can add some griptape at the start of the derailleur to help it stay in place. The switches have worked well so far and all that's left is to see how well they hold up. A good choice for a budget build. Follow-up: I've been using them for over 2 years with no problems. I even cut a low hanging branch while the bike was on the roof rack which knocked out the shifter and damaged the bar tape but they continue to work perfectly. Excellent value for money and quality.
