I have 2 work laptops at home that I usually use with large external monitors and keep the lids closed. When the covers are closed, my access to fingerprint scanners on computers is limited. Decided to give this camera a try to add facial recognition to speed up the login process. My first and only face recognition experience was with my Surface Book 2 and I was very impressed with the speed and accuracy. This device has met and exceeded my expectations. Here are the steps I used to quickly install and use the cameras on my two Windows 10 computers: 1) Plug in the device. 2) Download the driver as indicated in the manual. This is a compressed RAR file. I used a free app from the Windows Store to extract the file. 3) Run the "setup" file located in the base directory of the extracted files. 4) Restart your computer. 5) Go to "Settings" and then to "Accounts". If you've already set up a PIN for your computer, you'll see the option to set up face recognition. This time I learned that you can repeatedly scan your face to improve recognition, so I scanned with and without my glasses and with my big headphones. Very satisfied with the product and the performance.
