Short wires are best for seasonal decoration
The description is somewhat misleading. The battery case only has 4 inches of wire (probably closer to 3 inches) from the case to the star. You can't hide it in the branches, and you can't reach the switch if it's at the top of your tree. I had to solder a 24 inch wire so it could be used. Although the star itself is good.
