I wanted to try Alexa enabled light bulbs, so I looked around locally and couldn't find any. That's how it is in rural areas sometimes. So, I looked on Ebay and found these. Not crazy expensive, decent reviews. I gave it a shot.First the good - the ones that work work well. I love telling Alexa to turn my lights off, to dim them or to change color - the color change thing is kinda silly from my pov, but Grandson loves it. I like setting the lights to turn on when my alarm goes off, one by one, to help me wake up. They were easy to set up, and got along with Alexa right off, no issues. I haven't had any problems yet with them losing connection and resetting (knocking on wood). Now the bad. One of the bulbs was dead on arrival. I mean dead. No hint that it ever had any life in it at all. It just wouldn't work at all. No flashing, no nothing. I tried everything, did all the trouble shooting (which, there's not a lot to do if you can't even get it to flash). So, I contacted the company and got a very polite email asking a bunch of questions about the product. I answered all the questions and explained the problem. The next day I got a very polite email expressing how sorry they were I was having these problems and asking all the questions again. I responded that the answers to those questions were in the prior email. This went on for a couple days, them basically saying they were so sorry this has happened and asking the same questions over and over.Meanwhile, Grandson found an Alexa bulb locally and bought it. We set it up and it works fine. Then, we had a hurricane and I lost all interest in answering stupid questions over and over. Now I'm at the point of just writing it off as a lesson learned. The truly annoying thing is that in the box with the bulbs was a pamphlet that said if you have any problems don't contact Ebay, contact them instead. Usually when a company does that it's because they really want a chance to make things right. My feeling is that in this case they just wanted to waste my time. Mission accomplished.
