Me had a problem with wifi in my home office. Spending more and more money on better and better routers seemed like a no-brainer since the 5GHz signal is easily blocked by the walls in my house. I noticed that the problem was worst on my desktop PC, while it wasn't as bad on my laptop. I figured the antenna on the tower was in the wrong place to pick up the signal and this antenna did exactly what it needed to do. the antenna was about 70 m/s. It's a lot cheaper than using Ethernet cables and switches!
