Cost-effective solution to a burning problem

Me had a problem with wifi in my home office. Spending more and more money on better and better routers seemed like a no-brainer since the 5GHz signal is easily blocked by the walls in my house. I noticed that the problem was worst on my desktop PC, while it wasn't as bad on my laptop. I figured the antenna on the tower was in the wrong place to pick up the signal and this antenna did exactly what it needed to do. the antenna was about 70 m/s. At the time of purchase, the images show a swiveling antenna that screws into a magnetic base with a relatively long cable. What was sent to me has no hinge and is one piece with the base.

The cable is much longer in some pictures, be careful

This will probably do the job. Fairly weak magnet and I made the mistake of not reading the length of the cord just looking at the pictures. The actual cable is much shorter than shown in some of the photos advertised.

I had trouble getting a good connection with my standard supplied antennas.

Works as advertised. I had trouble getting a good connection with my standard antennas that came with my PCI-E wireless card. After I connected them, the problem was solved. Will definitely be getting more of them in the future.
