I did a lot of research before purchasing this system for my home. Since the attic access to the locations where I wanted to install the cameras was sufficient, I opted for a wired system to reduce the chance of malfunction (batteries, wifi connection). I wanted to be able to access the system anytime through the phone app (VssMobile), but later found out that my phone provider (StraightTalk) didn't allow video streaming. This means I can't see the system on my phone if I'm not using my own WiFi at home. I'm still working on being able to view the system on the laptop and not on my wifi, which I think is possible via the Vssweb.net website. As far as the TonTon system is concerned, I am very satisfied! Came in a box with everything needed for installation. I ran cables (100 feet each) in the attic to every location I needed a camera. I then routed the cables along the inside of the wall behind my entertainment center where I placed the DVR box. I made all the connections for the box including the camera cables. I then went to each area where I needed a camera and connected the camera to the other end of the cables. The cameras have an aluminum body and mount that appear to be of good quality. Now that the DVR was on and connected to the TV with the included HDMI cable, someone was watching the show on the TV while I placed each camera and mount at an angle to get a proper view. It was at this point that I found that one of the four cameras was only working in black and white on a bright, sunny day. I went ahead and installed it to set everything else up. I ended up emailing TonTon tech support about the DVR connecting to my internet and also the faulty camera. In both cases the email support was great! They did their best to help. Turns out one camera was stuck in IR mode and wouldn't come out. They asked me to check a few things and immediately sent me a new replacement camera which worked perfectly. I am very happy with the picture quality displayed on my TV and on my phone. Both attached images were taken with cameras in IR mode. The VssMobile app has some features and I haven't received any response from their "technical support" yet. Overall the system is of good quality and I think it will suit my needs well.
