My truck is a 1994 F-350 IDI, Factory Turbo. No power punch. 3 bolt starter works great. The original starter that I had when I bought the truck failed and I bought a Bosch direct double starter and it was very expensive and a huge direct drive. This thing was sucking on my batteries (big cables etc) and the truck made a "puff, puff, puff" noise as the starter struggled with it. This starter is a TOTALLY different beast. Thing is amazing. It's slightly lighter than the original Monster. But the reducer adds weight so I think it's a moot point. However. Truck driving day and night. You charge the glow plugs, press the button and it makes some high-speed chirping starter noises and the truck starts almost immediately. It's the best investment I've ever made in my truck since I can remember. I would highly recommend this starter to all 7.3 Turbo owners. In my case, this particular option suits my 3-hole application on my 94 Factory Turbo, Non-Powerstroke.
