I had to remove some of the aluminum to match the existing depth of cut and it really helped. I had small pieces of aluminum flying around. It pulverized the material and dissolved like butter. I'm not saying it was easy to use, but by holding the Dewalt 20v straight grinder steady it really cut through the material. The Bulgarian needs to be held firmly and with some force, and she still managed to escape from me a couple of times. It removes non-ferrous metals in seconds. I would buy it again if I ever need to replace the one I have.
