I love the plastic storage box that came with this blade (also came in a cardboard box if you want to pack it). The blade is open on both sides, so safe storage is crucial. The blade itself is mounted on a washable stainless steel handle for thorough cleaning. I used this limp when making Dutch Oven style bread, it was a little difficult to make the cuts as I had to lower myself into a hot cast iron skillet to make the cuts - pulling straight is much more effective.
