Saved money servicing my 2013 Hyundai Elantra

It was so easy to install. Just 60 seconds for a YouTube tutorial and 60 seconds to DIY. The dealer tried to charge me nearly $40 for a new engine filter. Every time I bring my car in for some reason they try to sell me air filters but I didn't really feel that was necessary. On a recent visit to the dealership I did a little research while in the waiting area and it turned out they are a lot cheaper than what mechanics are trying to charge and so easy to install a kid could do it . No tools required. Just loosen a few clips and swap out the filters. BTW I don't need a new filter every time the mechanics try to sell it to me but I'm definitely overdue and they can help with fuel economy and generally avoid more. expensive engine problems in the future. Mine was dirty and had bugs in it. This new one looks exactly like an OEM Hyundai filter. I could be wrong but it seems a little narrower, maybe that means the filters are higher quality, just like household AC filters of different grades? Either way, great price! Save money and time because it's so easy and you don't have to queue at the mechanic.
