Devices were once used to test human data, but something was needed that could both test POE networks and stain active data cables. After using this product for over 3 months I wanted to share my experience which I hope can be helpful to other buyers or potential buyers. The first benefits; 1. Low cost 2. comes with many more accessories as part of the package3. Rechargeable battery in both tester and probe4. Battery life is very good on a single charge.5. 99% of the functions work as intended.6. The device comes with a carrying case and an easy-to-understand user manual.7. The probe has a built in backlight which is useful in poorly lit areas. Cons: 1. The weight of the device feels very bad. Not sure if it will keep working if dropped.2. It is very difficult to identify the correct cable when using the Scan/Tone feature as the tone can also be heard at almost the same volume as the cable you are trying to locate. this makes finding the cable very difficult.3. There are too many ports you need to switch from to use some features. You should always remember to connect the cable to the appropriate port base depending on what feature you want to use. Overall, the money is well spent for the price.
