According to Saveur Magazine, they sell for 20 cents in Vietnam (similar to the price in the magazine). But I HAD to try them despite the premium price. I love it. Wow, it comes off easily. The ruffle cutter at the end is the best and sharpest I've found. The trellis option (metal) above the ruffles makes for great strands of pancakes. The only part that didn't impress me was the plastic grille in the center - it didn't really work. Be careful, hold it carefully, the blades are positioned so you can easily cut someone. The original in Saveur Magazine had a slightly different arrangement. I believe this is also available on Revain.
