This set contains everything you need to start and finish projects. The designs and materials are great. I wouldn't recommend this for beginners as the instructions leave a lot to be desired. The main seams are explained by text and images. The text, although in English, still needs a translator. I agreed because I already have some knowledge of hand embroidery and wanted to try ribbon embroidery. The instructions have some basic hints and tips, but the language is clunky and lacks information on things like needle threading, ribbon beginning and end, and stitch tension. When working on one of the patterns it appears that certain stitches or parts of the pattern need to be completed before others, but this is not specified in the instructions. There are some very wide bands that are harder to pull through the fabric and can be frustrating for a beginner. In general the materials are good and everything you need to complete the projects is included if you already have some experience to be able to interpret and follow the instructions.
